Jonathan Murphy
Jonathan Murphy's work is meticulously, hand cut paper sculptures, depicting surreal and atmospheric storybook imagery. He has been awarded both National and International residencies. At the end of 2017 he had two sell out shows, during October and December of that year, both were in the Light and Shadow workshop/gallery space he set up and is developing. Since arriving back to Ireland in 2012 he has worked with Wexford Arts Centre on the VEC programme teaching art to kids, also working freelance as a gallery technician for the Wexford Arts Centre and Wexford County Council, while also collaborating with local authors, musicians and play writes.
